Un llamado ético a la inclusión de mujeres embarazadas en investigación: Reflexiones del Foro Global de Bioética en Investigación
Esta publicación (disponible ahora tanto en español como en inglés) captura el consenso regional sobre el imperativo ético de incluir a mujeres embarazadas en investigaciones, que se estableció en el Foro Global de Bioética en Investigación (Buenos Aires, noviembre del 2016). El artículo llama a cambiar el paradigma de investigadores, miembros de comités de revisión ética y autoridades sanitarias que excluyen sistemáticamente a las mujeres embarazadas de las investigaciones, y a fortalecer nuestra capacidad para hacer un análisis ético riguroso para determinar en cada caso en qué estudios incluir a mujeres embarazadas de manera responsable.
An ethics call to include pregnant women in research: Reflections from the Global Forum on Bioethics in Research
This publication (available now in both English and Spanish) captures the regional consensus on the ethical imperative to include pregnant women in research that was established at the Global Forum on Bioethics in Research (Buenos Aires, November 2016). The article calls for a change in the paradigm of researchers, members of ethics review committees and health authorities who systematically exclude pregnant women from research, and for strengthening of our capacity to conduct a rigorous ethics analysis to determine, case by case, in which studies pregnant women can be included in a responsible way.
